Project Description
As part of the construction of the new bridge “SUe Hasenacker,” various options were examined to increase the clearance between the SBB overhead line UL255 and the newly planned bridge of Schweizer Salinen AG. The goal was to determine the optimal solution for adjusting the conductors of the UL255 overhead line to ensure approval of the new bridge.
Scope of Services by Future Grid Solutions:
- Calculations in FM‑PROFIL to analyze changes in tensile forces
- Execution of a static analysis in collaboration with the concrete mast supplier
- Preparation of a preliminary draft of the longitudinal profile plan for the later PGV submission
- Coordination with all project partners (SBB, Schweizer Salinen AG, bridge designers, concrete mast supplier)
- Cost estimation for day and night work required due to construction activities near railway tracks
Special Challenges:
- Comparison of design options for increasing clearance, taking technical and economic aspects into account
- Precise definition of conductor tensile forces considering electrical clearance requirements and structural constraints
Results:
- Complete decision-making basis for implementation
- Cost estimation for both variants
- Preparation of PGV documentation for final submission
