‍Design of Transition Structure Kilchberg – Connection of 220 kV and 132 kV Lines

Project Description

The new transition structure Kilchberg is to be constructed on a plot of land next to the motorway at the border between Adliswil and Kilchberg.

At this transition structure, the overhead line coming from Thalwil will be routed underground via tension portals and will then run several kilometers underground along the motorway to Manegg railway station. From there, the underground cable will follow a utility tunnel of the Uetliberg Tunnel until it reaches the Waldegg substation.

This configuration will significantly reduce the impact on the residential areas of Langnau and Gattikon.

FGS supports AFRY Schweiz AG in this project in the areas of technical project management and technical support for the design and construction of the new transition structure.
