As part of the refurbishment of the Giswil Substation, Future Grid Solutions GmbH (FGS) has been commissioned by Swissgrid AG to provide overall project management and engineering services for a temporary 220 kV transmission line arrangement. The objective of the project is to maintain safe and reliable grid operation during the replacement of the substation's secondary systems.
To achieve this, a temporary connection of the extra-high-voltage transmission line will be installed between the existing structures 1490x062 and 1490x064. This measure ensures grid stability throughout the refurbishment works and enables the secure continuation of transmission system operations.
FGS supports the project throughout all project phases. The scope of services includes the engineering and design of the temporary line arrangement, preparation of the documentation required for the simplified planning approval procedure, development of tender documentation, on-site construction support, and project close-out. In addition, FGS provides all required technical verifications and ensures coordination between the client, authorities, landowners, and specialist consultants.
