Project description

The air-insulated 220-kV switchgear at the Niederwil substation has reached the end of its technical lifespan after over 50 years and needs to be renewed. The renewal of the existing system will be carried out with a gas-insulated switchgear in a new building.

As part of the renewal of the Niederwil substation, the routing of the power lines into the substation will also be redesigned.

Key aspects of the project

1. Creation of 3D reconstruction planning with technical dimensioning of the new cable entry.

Creation of detailed visualizations of the planned renovation. Consideration of limited space conditions and optimal utilization of the available area. Development of tailored solutions that optimally address the interfaces between the new primary technology and the existing infrastructure.

2. Preparation of the approval dossier.

Preparation of a comprehensive approval dossier for the planned renovation. The dossier includes all necessary documents, such as project plans, environmental impact assessments, technical specifications, and other relevant information.

3. Regulatory compliance

Ensuring that the approval dossier meets all regulatory requirements and regulations. Close collaboration with the relevant stakeholders and authorities to obtain the necessary approvals.

4. Environmental compatibility

Consideration of environmental impacts and implementation of measures to minimize these effects. Adherence to environmental protection standards and sustainable practices.

5. Preparation of tender documents

Preparation of tender documents for the construction of the new cable entry into the substation.

6. Site Supervision

Monitoring and coordination of construction work, ensuring compliance with schedules, budgets, and quality standards, as well as ensuring safety regulations and regulatory compliance on the construction site.
