Project Description

The 380-kV line Bonaduz-Sils, constructed in 1960, primarily consists of Vögelimasten towers. To ensure long-term grid security, immediate measures are required. These include re-tensioning the conductors to their original tension on-site and replacing the old overhead line fittings in a specific section of approximately 2.4 km.

Key Measures of the Project:

  1. Re-tensioning to Original Conductor Tension:
On-site re-tensioning of the conductors to ensure grid stability and safety.
  2. Fitting Replacement:
Replacement of fittings in the specified section to guarantee long-term reliability and grid security. Utilization of modern and improved fittings that comply with current standards.
  3. Monitoring and Quality Assurance:
Continuous monitoring of the implemented measures to ensure the desired outcomes are achieved. Implementation of quality assurance processes throughout the project.
  4. Environmental Considerations and Sustainability:
Addressing environmental aspects during the implementation of immediate measures. Employing sustainable practices and materials wherever feasible.
  5. Regulatory Approvals and Communication:
Obtaining all necessary regulatory approvals for the immediate measures. Active communication with relevant stakeholders and local authorities.

FGS has been commissioned by AFRY Switzerland AG for this project to handle planning, preparation of tender documents, coordination of construction preparation, and construction supervision.
